The corporate stated the collective bargaining settlement prevents it from transferring the roughly 90 Towson employees to different places.

The IAM stated in an announcement that it is “outraged by Apple’s choice to shut its Towson, Md., retailer – the primary unionized Apple retail location in the US – and abandon each its employees and a neighborhood that depends on it for important providers and its distinctive entry to public transit.”
“Apple’s declare that the collective bargaining settlement prevents relocation is just false and raises severe issues that this closure is a cynical try to bust the union,” the IAM Union stated, including that it is exploring authorized choices to “maintain Apple accountable.”
