The Sapphire Princess altered course on April 21 after crew members noticed an orange inflatable life jacket within the water whereas crusing en path to Cartagena, Spain, based on an announcement from Princess Cruises.
The vessel deployed its Quick Rescue Boat to research and in the end recovered 5 deceased people, the corporate stated. The ship’s crew coordinated the response with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Middle.
